Caframo Fans

Caframo is a privately owned Canadian manufacturing company founded in 1955. We pride ourselves in being an industry leader in specialty fan products for North America and International markets. Our fans are sought after in the US, Europe, Australia and the Caribbean.

Our Marine line of products has been developed to improve boaters’ personal environment and allow them to "Cruise in Comfort". Our products can greatly increase the enjoyment of consumers’ boating investment.

Finger-Safe Blades
Many of our fans feature our patented "Finger-Safe Blade" which does not require a protective grill. The blade has a shock absorbing leading edge that flexes when it is stopped. These blades are able to push more air quietly.

Salt Water Test
Our salt water test is conducted in a 2 cubic meter enclosed chamber. A salt water solution is then ultrasonically introduced into the chamber to simulate seaside conditions. The fans are then operated and monitored within the chamber 24/7.

Slam Test
In order to simulate the effect of pounding waves on our fans they are subjected to a slam test. The fan is fastened to a vertical rod and then an electric motor causes the fan to drop 6" to a hard-fast stop on the concrete floor over and over again.
